We’re looking for experienced, senior level Critical System Engineers with a background in HP Enterprise hardware. Source Direct requires nothing but the best! Critical System Engineer- Primary Accountability:
• Perform preventive and remedial maintenance of contractually and warranty maintained products at customer locations in different operating environments.
Principle Duties and Required Skills:
• Must be able to work with limited supervision as directed by management and adhere to administrative policies and escalation procedures
• Adheres to product specific guidelines, procedures, and best practices. Diagnose system malfunctions to isolate problems with hardware or software and develop
appropriate action plans. Perform pro-active and reactive maintenance and hardware repairs
• Perform part replacements and hardware firmware upgrades as assigned or directed or as needed
• Updates ticket tracking data at the completion of a service event with as much relevant data as possible
• Assure complete customer satisfaction by adherence to the following: Prompt onsite arrival time, technical expertise, professionalism. Must communicate with customer before, during, and upon completion of the activity. Includes the timely and accurate submission of all associated documentation as well as parts returns within 24 hours of a service event
• Submit accurate and timely expense reports
• Maintains all assigned spare parts, tools and test equipment, including an accurate inventory of each
• Attends training classes as required to develop and maintain a working knowledge of all maintained equipment and software
• Participates in knowledge sharing through TechTalks and email. Assists others in the same role as the need occurs
• Teams with members of the sales team to generate quotes, act as technical advisor, and other pre-sales activities to help grow the business
• Responsible for generating renewal quotes and working with existing customers to grow the existing account base
• Must make sure the New Account Checklist is followed for every new customer in their assigned territory
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or senior employee
Required Knowledge, Experience:
• Ability to develop action plans for complex issues
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable automobile
• Must carry a communication device
• May be required to work random hours
• May be required to work Alternative Work Schedule
• May be required to move equipment up to 50 lbs or heavier
• Required to travel
Skills:
